CAN YOU RIDE A MOTORCYCLE IN THE RAIN

CAN YOU RIDE A MOTORCYCLE IN THE RAIN? – It is not surprising to know that riding your motorcycle while its raining can be quite risky than riding a  bike during sunshine. Some of the reasons are because slippery roads cause decreased traction, decreased vision ( because motorcycle helmets don’t have a windscreen wiper or defogging fan).

The good news is, you can reduce the risk as a motorcycle rider. But how? You need to use a modern motorcycle tire that has a remarkable grip in wet conditions. Never forget to have good quality ABS brakes that prevent wheels from locking up.

When deciding which helmet to buy, buy a helmet with a pin lock anti-fog screen that stays clear even in the rain. Also when riding in the rain, make sure you have a good rain suit in a loud color like orange or yellow. Don’t forget to ride slowly as it’s the safest thing to do while riding in the rain.

As you ride under the rain, look ahead, plan ahead and ride smoothly. As you ride under the rain, don’t be caught riding and then suddenly hit the brake as he unexpected can happen.

If you want to drive through deeper water, ensure you stay upright, smooth and steady. Constantly throttle because reducing brakes and throttle will not prove to be a good idea. When riding in deep water, keep your vision high, your momentum steady and your inputs smooth. While you ride on deep water, never make the mistake of trying to ride across a flooded river or a submerged bridge as it could be too dangerous.

In this way, they lose the experience they would have gotten by riding in the rain.

SO CAN YOU RIDE A MOTORCYCLE IN THE RAIN?
